In this section you will find more information on the variety of evaluations we can provide to help discover strengths as well as areas in need of support.

Comprehensive Psycho-Educational Evaluation
This evaluation addresses your concerns with learning, academic progress, and/or emotional well being. This diagnostic evaluation can offer valuable insights into your child's development and provide guidance on how to best support them. The process includes a review of records to understand your child's background and history. At times, an observation of your child at school may be beneficial. A thorough direct assessment with your child follows, that includes cognitive abilities, processing skills, academic performance, social and emotional development, and targets specific client concerns and questions. Once all the necessary assessment information is gathered, a detailed written report is created that includes personalized recommendations tailored to your child's unique circumstances. A follow-up meeting will be scheduled to present the results and answer your questions. Included in the price are three more hours of consultation to be used as needed within 6 month of the evaluation to answer additional questions you may have or meet with school staff to discuss an educational plan of action.
Ages 6 and up
Total Cost $ 3000

Autism Evaluation
The autism evaluation process entails a comprehensive approach, utilizing various assessment tools such as interviews, rating scales, and direct testing to ascertain whether autism is a factor for you or your child. Several assessment sessions are necessary, with each session spanning 2-3 hours. During this time, thorough interviews are conducted, intelligence testing is performed, and an examination of sensory abilities and difficulties is carried out.
Once all the necessary assessment information is gathered, a detailed written report is created that includes personalized recommendations. A follow-up meeting will be scheduled to present the results and answer your questions. Total Cost $ 2500

Independent Educational Evaluation
(IEE)
When parents are concerned with the outcome and recommendations made by the IEP team following a free evaluation conducted by the school district, the parent may request an IEE in writing from the school district. The IEE serves like a second opinion about the child's learning profile to provide parents the confidence that the concern is throughly evaluated and all angles are explored to support the child's academic success. This evaluation is conducted by a professional not affiliated with the school district. IEE evaluations are paid for by the school district. If you would like to know more and consult regarding IEEs, please contact us.

School Neuropsychology Evaluation
A school neuropsychology evaluation is a comprehensive assessment that examines how an individual's brain functions and provide a more detailed analysis of brain functions and its impact on learning. The results of a school neuropsychology evaluation can lead to more targeted and effective interventions, as it is based on a deeper understanding of the underlying factors influencing an individual's academic performance and behavior.

In contrast, a psychoeducational evaluation primarily focuses on identifying strengths and weaknesses in academic areas, such as reading, writing, and mathematics. While it provides valuable information about academic abilities, it may not delve as deeply into the underlying neurological factors that impact learning.

This type of assessment is intended for those seeking a more nuanced understanding of learning challenges, as it offers valuable insights that can inform instruction and intervention strategies. Results can help develop more effective support plans, ultimately leading to better academic and personal outcomes.
