Comprehensive Psycho-Educational Evaluation

This evaluation assesses the cognitive, processing, behavioral, and learning profile targeting specific client concerns and questions. Attention (ADHD) is an area typically assessed to understand if it is a barrier to learning. Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, and Dysgraphia are part of the evaluation when concerns warrant it. Social-Emotional assessments could also be included. Each assessment is tailored for each client. After the In-Take Session a tailored evaluation plan is presented and an estimate is provided for you to review. Evaluation time can take from 10 to 16 hours, sometimes more. Within several weeks of assessment completion, a results meeting will be held to review results, answer your questions, and discuss recommendations. 

 

Autism Therapy

Autism Evaluation

We start our Autism evaluations around the age of 2 years and 10 months old and assess across all other age spans. The content of the evaluation is dependent on the age of the individual. It can involve working directly with the client, observations of behavior in different settings, and completion of rating forms by different people that know the client. After the In-Take Session a tailored evaluation plan is presented and an estimate is provided for you to review. Evaluation time can take up to 16 hours. Within several weeks of assessment completion, a results meeting will be held to review results, answer your questions, and discuss recommendations.

Speech Therapy

Speech, Language, and Communication Evaluation

Speech, Language, and Communication evaluations are at times sought out by parents when their child struggles with skills related to fluency, articulation, phonology, language disorders, expressive and receptive abilities, and pragmatic skills just to name a few. These difficulties can many times impact learning, especially reading, writing, and communication with others. Evaluations are targeting children 3 years old through 12 years old. Á La Carte Evaluations

There are situations where parents seek more targeted evaluations such as Cognitive Processing Evaluation, or an IQ Evaluation, Social-Emotional assessment, or an ADHD evaluation. This information may be needed to present to private schools or for other reasons. Since these evaluations take less time, results and a report can be made available within a couple of weeks.

School Readiness Evaluation​

Children start school earlier than ever. Some start as early as 4 years old. If you are concerned if your child is ready for Transitional Kindergarten or Kindergarten entry we can help you understand the skills your child has and what skills still need to be enhanced including social and emotional readiness. Results can be made available within two weeks after the evaluation is completed. Results and recommendations will be discussed.

Independent Educational Evaluation

(IEE)

When parents are concerned with the outcome and recommendations made by the IEP team following a free evaluation conducted by the school district, the parent may request an IEE in writing from the school district. The IEE serves like a second opinion about the child's learning profile to provide parents the confidence that the concern is throughly evaluated and all angles are explored to support the child's academic success. This evaluation is conducted by a professional not affiliated with the school district.  IEE evaluations are paid for by the school district. If you need help and support to understand what may be holding you back from being successful in college or the work world our evaluations can help. Discover if you struggle with a learning disability, Dyslexia, learning differences, anxiety, Autism Spectrum Disorder, or Executive Functioning difficulties. This is not an exhaustive list. After the In-Take Session a tailored evaluation plan is presented and an estimate is provided for you to review.
